Wandering the Sackville River

To cap off the long weekend we went for a drive. There were many things that we had to get finished around the house, so there was no planning made for the weekend. Once we finished up the important things, I packed the kids into the car and asked them for a direction and we were off.

We drove NNW towards Beaverbank and then when we reached E Unuacke Rd we turned left to make the loop back to the city. When we were around Middle Sackville along the Evangeline Trail (Sackville Dr) the little-er one wanted to go fro a hike. We pulled over and took a look at what was close by, and Webber Lake Falls was right there, so that's where we headed.

The Trail

Walking in towards the lake, there are lots of wild flowers out. There is a falls out there, but we took a wrong turn at some point. Being in August we didn't bother back tracking, its all pretty dry (foreshadowing) so we headed toward the lake.

Everything Dry

Everything was very dry, the parking lot was dusty and the trail itself was extremely dry.

A very dry wooded trail

At the lake

When we got to the lake the kiddos had fun tossing rocks and getting wet.

There were a couple of people on the beach with us having a relaxing holiday day and a couple more fishing in the middle of the lake. All-in-all it was a very peaceful place to hang out for a bit.
