I think that I have experienced the obvious sign that I'm getting old. My favourite shoes for the last 5yrs are worn through and I can't find them on the companies Canadian page. This is a sign because I EXPECTED TO FIND IT.
In the age of new iphones every year or the fact that most electronics aren't degisned to last more than a couple of years, why would I expect that a company would continue to sell the same style of shoe for MORE THAN 5 YEARS.
Anyway, I'm still a little annoyed.

Its a learning curve to be sure, but I'm going to stick with it. @paperdigits on Mastodon has shared some youtube channels that I'm going to add to my casual watching. Most of what I have learned about editing and photography in general is from casual discovery. Even after all these years I don't really know what I don't know so its hard to search for things to learn.

I was being overly ambitious trying to take a new photo every day to post here. I will still probably be posting very regularly but that will be "just" to the microblog here. That will allow me to use pictures that I have taken in the past at least.
