Lonely wheel

Wheel in the high prairie

There are a lot of neat shots in Montana, I wish I had the time to spend weeks just wandering around this tiny corner of the state.  There are some trails in the mountains shown in the background that I would like to spend a week or two this August hoping from peak to peak, [...]

Van!

Saw this outside of the Biffalo Bill Historical Center

When I was in Wyoming last month to check out Buffalo Bill’s old stomping grounds I ran across this very colourful van.  It really felt out of place in the muted brown surroundings.  It kindof reminded me of the Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo.

Keeping watch

Whatcha see Boy?

The first week at the Mystic Lake Powerhouse we got to take a ride in the tram to the surge tower.  It is a 1000′ elevation change over a couple hundred feet. The view from there is amazing, if you are there on a clear night you can see clear to Billings, Mt. In the [...]

Mountains in the West

You won't find anything like this in Nova Scotia

Aren’t they awesome, and I mean that in the true sense of the word. The first time that I saw mountains, real mountains, was a trip to Vancouver. Looking East to the Rockies was amazing, but that was as close as I could get then. Since I have moved to Spokane I have driven through the Montan[...]

Sunset Over the Desert

On a recent trip from Seattle we decided to take the scenic route through Route 2. We happened to get into the desert part of the trip just as the sun was going down. We drove up to a high point and was able to get some great shots of the sun going down.

This was another case reminding me that

Movember – The Spokane edition

Starting the day after Halloween I will be growing a mustache, this will be the second year in a row that I will be growing a ‘stache in the month of Movember. Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds [...]
